Interaction Design and User Experience

I enjoy designing and improving the usability of web-based products, enterprise software and native applications.

In the 90's I was an Art Director and Illustrator, designing for traditional print media as well as sportswear. As the possibilities of the online experience emerged, I learned web design, HTML, CSS and Flash and contributed to a few Internet start ups. While managing projects and teams at Microsoft I became more focused on interaction design.

As the "Swiss army knife" of employees, I have been successful both as a senior individual contributor, a user experience lead and as a team manager. My design process includes data analysis, gathering requirements, defining and documenting feature specifications, and then developing and testing designs by creating interaction wire frames and interactive mock-ups.

The images here are offered as highlights to indicate the kind of work I have done. Detailed examples are available upon request.

My passion is creating useful interfaces. It's interesting to meet users' goals and tasks and also keeping the business people smiling.

The results of this mash up between requirements and usability are clickable mock ups, wire frames and user flows. I have a visual design back ground and I have HTML skills that I use for mock ups.
